Gary Hunt, DVM

Dr. Hunt was born and raised in Opelika and graduated from Opelika High School.  After graduating from the Veterinary School at Auburn University, Dr. Hunt joined Opelika Animal Hospital in 1980.  He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Hunt is recognized in the veterinary field as one of the most outstanding surgeons in East Alabama.

Dr. Hunt and his wife, Angela, have 5 sons.  Doc is also the proud grandfather to six precious grandchildren: Presley Anne, Parker, Robert, Barrett, Walker and Bryson. In his free time, Dr. Hunt enjoys farming, wildlife management and deep sea fishing.
